Men’s Soccer’s Bourlot Jaeggi wins Player of the Week
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Ciro Bourlot Jaeggi has been the most clutch player on head coach Dan Stratford’s WVU Men’s Soccer starting line as the regular season winds to a close. The sophomore forward has six goals to his name this season, and he’s not primed to stop anytime soon.
An 89th-minute, diving header goal in the 2-1 Georgia State win last week was promptly followed by a pair of goals in the 5-0 Georgia Southern takedown on Oct. 31.

Bourlot Jaeggi has secured the game-winning score in each of those two games, as well as the Elon 3-1 victory eight days prior. It was unlikely that after playing three solid games in eight days, and tallying four goals in that span, that he wouldn’t garner some kind of award, but he and the Mountaineer team, now 10-2-4, are taking names at the conference level. Bourlot Jaeggi was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for his performance.
WVU's @CiroBourlot recorded a pair of game-winning goals in wins over Georgia State and Georgia Southern last week. First, a diving header in the 89th minute for a late lead against Georgia State, before he tallied a two-goal performance at Georgia Southern.#HailWV | #MACtion pic.twitter.com/7ZZAXCt9zx
