Former West Virginia wide receiver and offensive assistant Ryan Nehlen is cementing himself as a terrific recruiter for the Mountaineers.

Last week, Nehlen scoured through our nation’s capital, offering 2020 Gonzaga (DC) center Jestus Johnson.

“I’ve been a fan of WVU for awhile now. And finding out about the offer, my family and I were in joy the whole day,” Johnson said of his West Virginia offer.  “I really like the fan base and the home feeling that WVU has.”

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound prospect has plans to visit Morgantown over the summer and added that academics and how a school recruits him will be factors in securing his commitment.

As for now, Johnson is focused on improving his flexibility, improving at his position and winning another conference championship.

Johnson does not currently have a top five, but holds offers from West Virginia, Rutgers and Virginia.
