WV Sports Now has learned another transfer recruit will be visiting the WVU football program this weekend. Old Dominion transfer safety Tahj Ra-El will also be in Morgantown.

Ra-El announced his plans to transfer on Dec. 30, simply posting a screenshot of Old Dominion submitting his transfer request. The Charlotte, North Carolina native has one year of eligibility remaining.

While he hasn’t been as active publicizing his offers like most recruits, there are reports to suggest Ra-El has already visited another Big 12 school.

Like many star players outside a major conference, Ra-El is now looking to advance his game before the end of his college career. And based on his recent production, it’s fair to say he has excelled to this point.

Ra-El recorded 84 total tackles, six pass deflections, 5.5 tackles for a loss, and one interception in 2023. He has 132 tackles in three years at ODU.

You can find Ra-El and other transfer players listed on our partner the Portal Report’s database.
