Pitts cited with gun on high school campus
As first reported by WOWK 13 News freshman cornerback Derrek Pitts of West Virginia University was cited for having a gun at a high school basketball game. He was in attendance for the matchup between George Washington and South Charleston, his alma mater.
No weapons are permitted on school grounds and not only that, but Pitts is also only 19 years of age. There have not been any further details released, but we will keep you updated on this story. This will be something head coach Dana Holgorsen will have to discuss with his coaching staff with to determine the consequences for Pitts’ actions.
