Report: New York Giants Place Former Mountaineer OL on Injured Reserve
The New York Giants today placed former Mountaineer offensive lineman Yodny Cajuste on injured reserve with a foot injury on Tuesday, per Doug Rush who covers the Giants for FanSided.
After spending the spring and summer with the Jets, Cajuste signed on with the Giants as a member of the practice squad at the end of the 2023 regular season. The Giants then signed him to a reserve/future contract on Jan. 8, 2024.
The Florida native was drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by New England.
Prior to entering the NFL, Cajuste was named the Big 12’s Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2018 and also earned All-Big 12 honors in each of his last two years in college at West Virginia.
The 27-year-old appeared in 10 games for the Patriots in 2022 while making three starts.
