Top 2026 guard Jayden Johnson is expected to visit West Virginia in the near future, as Jake Weingarten from Stockrisers reportedWV Sports Now confirmed the desired visit but sources mentioned that there’s not an official date set.

Johnson (6-foot-5) is one of the most talented players in the class of 2026. The Louisville native currently plays for Trinity High School and played basketball for Male High School in the eighth grade. Johnson, a rising sophomore, also plays AAU ball for three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal’s team, Brad Beal Elite.

Cincinnati, Missouri, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Xavier are the notable offers that Johnson holds so far. Johnson also plans on visiting Cincinnati, Indiana, Texas A&M and Xavier during the same time as his unofficial West Virginia visit.

Johnson tells WVSN that his main recruiter is WVU interim head coach Josh Eilert. West Virginia extended an offer to Johnson in June 2022.

Along with Johnson, West Virginia has offered Marcus Johnson (G), Jayden Moore (G) and Maximo Adams (F) in the 2026 class. Johnson would be the first out of the group to visit West Virginia. The last high school recruit to visit campus was 2024 Virginia Tech de-commit AJ Swinton in early July.
