WVU transfer portal target Alexis Yetna is currently visiting Ole Miss, Jon Rothstein reported on Wednesday. Yetna is transferring from Seton Hall and has been in the transfer portal since mid-April.

Yetna took a visit to West Virginia last weekend, a source told WV Sports Now, as his recruitment as gone under the radar.

Yetna (6-foot-8) last played during the 2021-22 season for Seton Hall, averaging 8.1 points and 7.6 rebounds. Prior to SHU, Yetna played for South Florida as the native of France won the AAC Rookie of the Year in 2019. Yetna has had a wild journey through college basketball playing in three seasons over six years. Yetna was ineligible during the 2017-18 season and was injured during the 2019-20 and 2022-23 seasons. Yetna missed this past season due to a knee injury.

Yetna entered the transfer portal on April 14 and now is one of the top transfers available. Yetna has flown under the radar but is receiving interest from other Power-5 schools. West Virginia’s staff believes that Yetna can contribute to a team that’s bringing in a top transfer portal class. Yetna can add to the depth that the rotation needs.

Yetna has one year of eligibility remaining.
