LIST: WVU Reaches Out to 2025 Recruits During First Day of Contact Period

Starting on Thursday, college basketball coaches may reach out directly to the class of 2025. NCAA allows coaches to contact rising juniors in high school every June 15.

This is a crucial day for high school basketball recruiting as the first schools to contact the prospect can go a long way.

WV Sports Now will keep this list updated throughout the day on Thursday as West Virginia’s coaching staff contacts the rising juniors.

Ace Flagg, F

Flagg has been on West Virginia’s radar since last summer. Flagg was contacted by WVU’s staff, according to 24/7 High School Hoops.

Cooper Flagg, 5⭐️ F

Flagg is a top prospect in the 2025 class. Like his brother, Ace, Cooper has been on WVU’s radar since last summer. Flagg was contacted directly by West Virginia’s staff, according to 24/7 High School Hoops.

Jeremiah Green, 4⭐️ G

Green tells WVSN that West Virginia assistant Josh Eilert has reached out this morning.

Green (6-foot-2) received an offer from WVU last summer. The Texas native has also heard from Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Kansas State, LSU, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Texas Tech today, he tells Jake Weingarten.

Jasper Johnson, 5⭐️ G

Johnson tells WVSN that West Virginia assistant Josh Eilert has reached out this morning.

Johnson (6-foot-4) received an offer from WVU back in February. Johnson, a Kentucky native, has also heard from Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida State, Indiana, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Xavier.

Chance Mallory, G

Mallory tells WVSN that West Virginia assistant DerMarr Johnson has reached out today.

Mallory (5-foot-9) is a native of Virginia and was offered by WVU in May.

Malachi Moreno, 4⭐️ C

Moreno tells WVSN that West Virginia assistant Josh Eilert has reached out this morning.

Moreno (6-foot-11) has received interest from WVU over the past couple of months. Moreno currently plays at Great Crossing High School in Kentucky.

Trent Sisley, 4⭐️ F

Sisley tells WVSN that West Virginia assistant Josh Eilert has reached out this morning.

Sisley (6-foot-7) was offered by WVU in early May. The Indiana native has also heard from Indiana, Iowa, LSU, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Purdue and UCF.

EJ Walker, F

Walker tells WVSN that West Virginia assistant Josh Eilert has reached out this morning.

Walker (6-foot-8) received an offer from WVU last summer. Walker visited in September and returned to Morgantown for the Texas game this past January. Walker has also heard from Arkansas, Charleston, LSU, Louisville, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio State, SMU, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Cam Ward, 4⭐️ F

Ward tells WVSN that West Virginia assistant DerMarr Johnson has reached out today.

Ward (6-foot-6) received an offer from WVU back in April. Ward, a Maryland native, has also been contacted by Arkansas, Florida State, Georgetown, Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Maryland, San Diego, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA and others.
