WVU football fell to Pitt 38-34 during the 107th edition of the Backyard Brawl in a disaster situation. The Mountaineers were up 10 points with four minutes to go but a Pitt rally in the final moments gave the Panthers the steal.
West Virginia fans are right back off the climb as head coach Neal Brown has lost to Penn State and Pitt in two-out-of-three weeks to open the 2024 season.
