2025 PF Alier Maluk is planning to visit West Virginia sometime in August, Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers reported. WV Sports Now confirmed with Maluk about his future WVU visit. The plan is a day in August but there’s no set date just yet.

Maluk (6-foot-10, 180 pounds) is currently ranked as the No. 23 prospect in his class according to ESPN. The forward should be considered a 5-star recruit when he is ranked by other recruiting sites.

Maluk is a rising sophomore at Imani Christian Academy in Pittsburgh. Maluk has received offers from Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Pitt, Seton Hall and Texas A&M. Other schools like Memphis, Michigan State, Oklahoma State and UCLA have shown interest. The talented big man is set to visit Pitt on Aug. 2.

WV Sports Now will keep up to date with the latest recruiting and transfer portal news during the offseason.

Player Evaluation: Alier Maluk’s game is exactly what you would expect out of a modern-day big man; he can do it all. Maluk is able to handle the ball, running the offense at times. He can shoot the ball, finish down low, dribble and play defense. Maluk’s ceiling is extremely high as he’s just entering his sophomore year in high school.
