Twitter Reaction: West Virginia Fans Excited Again After Upset Win Over Auburn

Doing in front of a packed crowd, that included basketball legend Charles Barkley, and a rowdy atmosphere, West Virginia managed to beat number 15 Auburn 80-77 on Saturday afternoon.

The win provides the Mountaineers a big boost in terms of their resume for the NCAA Tournament. WVU has now won three out of their last four, losing only to number 7 Texas in that stretch. This all comes after an 0-5 start to Big 12 play.

Based on the Twitter reaction, it appears fans are getting excited about this team all over again.

The truth is that WVU Basketball really isn't that bad, but the Big 12 has just been that good. Don't get me wrong, WVU definitely hasn't brought their A game every night, and this isn't a final 4 team, but all things considered they aren't as bad as a lot of the fanbase thinks.

this clearly isn’t a bad basketball team. the only people who believed that don’t watch basketball beyond WVU/the Big 12. this is a top 3 team in every other conference
