UFL Team Signs Former WVU OL Briason Mays

The San Antonio Brahmas are adding former WVU offensive lineman Briason Mays, per UFL analyst Michael Del Negro.

Mays, who stands about 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds, was a UFL college draft pick of the Arlington Renegades and was recently with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL until being waived by team in August.

After initially started his college career as a Mountaineer, Mays transferred to Southern Miss following the 2020 season. May anchored Southern Miss’ offensive line in 2022, starting in 11 games and playing both center and left tackle. He also played in 11 games in 2021 with the Golden Eagles.

At WVU, Mays made 23 appearances and seven starts.

Mays came to WVU from Bolivar Central High School in Tennessee, where he was a three-time first-team All-Region selection and two-time All-District.
