USF Commit RB DJ Oliver Receives Offer from West Virginia

Published

on

In keeping with their recent trend of reaching out to players who have committed to schools with a coaching change, West Virginia has extended an offer to running back DJ Oliver.

Despite the running game being a pleasant surprise and one of the bight spots of WVU’s rough 2022 season, adding the South Florida commit could bolster the future of the offense even more. Oliver has been committed to USF since May and is a Florida native out of Port Saint Joe, Florida, but the Bulls fired Jeff Scott after winning just four games in three years in Tampa.

Oliver lists himself at 230 pounds and exactly six feet tall. He is considered a three-star prospect in the 2023 class. Ranked as the 170th best Florida player by On3.com, Oliver is placed at 130 by 247 Sports.

Prior to committing to USF, Oliver was weighing offers from Florida Atlantic, who is also expending a coaching change, Central Michigan, Army, Air Force, Navy, Middle Tennessee and UAB.

Running back Jahiem White out of York, Pennsylvania is viewed as the Mountaineers’ top running back commit.
