Just when Arizona may have thought they had some momentum, WVU converted a fourth down near the goal line and scored their first offensive touchdown.

Quarterback Nicco Marchiol, getting the start in the state he played high school football, fired a perfect pass to Hudson Clement in the back of the end zone on a fourth down attempt. The big time pass and big time catch gave West Virginia its two-score lead again, making it 17-7.

This also came after Jahiem White broke a 55-yard run earlier in the drive. White’s explosive run set up the touchdown and also became WVU’s longest play from scrimmage so far this season.
