Watch: WVU CB Jacolby Spells Converts Pick-6 to Lock up Win Over Virginia Tech
The first interception for the West Virginia defense of the season helped seal the win over Virginia Tech and successfully defend the Black Diamond Trophy.
It was cornerback Jacolby Spells’ pick-6 of Virginia Tech quarterback Grant Wells with a little under 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter on Thursday night that put the score out of reach. True freshman Spells was able to get in front of the pass and then run it all the way back for the defensive touchdown.
