West Virginia basketball is in the running for another 2025 prospect. On Thursday, 2025 four-star guard Kelvin Odih included WVU in his top six schools, along with Colorado, Creighton, Louisville, Oklahoma State and Rutgers.

Odih received an offer from West Virginia on July 24.

Odih, 6-foot-4, is a rising senior at South Kent School in Connecticut. Odih has received offers from Albany, Colorado, Creighton, Florida State, George Mason, Iowa, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Rhode Island, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, SMU, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Xavier and others. Odih completed a visit to Marquette last December and has scheduled visits to Colorado, Creighton and Rutgers, according to 247 Sports.

In other news, 2025 three-star guard CJ Shaw announced his top six schools on Wednesday night, including West Virginia. Shaw, 6-foot-4, is also considering Saint Mary’s, UCSB, UNLV, Utah State and Xavier.

Shaw is a native of Las Vegas and currently attends Mojave High School while playing circuit ball for Vegas Elite.

West Virginia, under new head coach Darian DeVries, doesn’t have any commitments for the 2025 class. The staff quickly picked up Jonathan Powell and KJ Tenner in the 2024 class after being hired in the spring.
