2025 Recruits Who Are Considering West Virginia After Top Lists

West Virginia basketball is preparing for year one under head coach Darian DeVries.

DeVries and his new staff have recently picked up momentum with 2025 recruits who have narrowed their recruitments and lists. Let’s take a look at which prospects the Mountaineers are currently in the running for.

Jaylon Dean-Vines | G | 3⭐️

Schools considering: Louisville, Texas A&M, UCF, Vanderbilt and West Virginia

Dean-Vines, 6-foot-3, is getting ready to play for the Diamond Doves of the Overtime Elite league. Dean-Vines is from Dallas, Texas and played at Kimball High School.

Dean-Vines was offered by WVU associate head coach Chester Frazier back in April. 

Ian Inman | F | 3⭐️

Schools considering: Colorado, Colorado State, Louisville, Rice and West Virginia

Inman will visit all five schools as he announced his schedule for the fall.

Rice: Sept. 7-9

Colorado: Sept. 11-13

Colorado State: Sept. 13-15

West Virginia: Sept. 20-22

Louisville: Sept. 28

Inman has picked up offers from Colorado, Colorado State, George Mason, Northeastern, Rice, Saint Louis, San Jose State, Tulsa, UC Santa Barbara, UMass, West Virginia, Wichita State and others.

Inman has taken visits to Rice, Texas Tech and Wichita State so far in his recruitment.

During his sophomore season (2022-23), Inman averaged 8.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Kelvin Odih | G | 4⭐️

Schools considering: Colorado, Creighton, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Rutgers and West Virginia

Odih, 6-foot-4, is a rising senior at South Kent School in Connecticut. Odih has received offers from Albany, Colorado, Creighton, Florida State, George Mason, Iowa, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Rhode Island, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, SMU, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Xavier and others. Odih completed a visit to Marquette last December and has scheduled visits to Colorado, Creighton and Rutgers, according to 247 Sports.

Eric Reibe | C | 4⭐️

Schools considering: Connecticut, Creighton, Harvard, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford and West Virginia

Reibe is a 7-foot prospect that plays at The Bullis School in Potomac, Md.

Reibe has been linked with West Virginia’s program since Josh Eilert’s staff offered him back in February. And after Darian DeVries and his staff took over in the spring, WVU re-offered Reibe.

Reibe has received offers from Butler, Clemson, College of Charleston, George Washington, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas State, Maryland, Miami (FL), Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oregon, Pitt, Providence, Purdue, Villanova, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Xavier and others. Reibe has visited Georgetown, Harvard, Iowa and Ohio State.

Reibe most recently played for Germany’s U18 team in the European Championship. The 7-footer recorded 10 rebounds in group play, where he appeared in 29 minutes combined through two games.

CJ Shaw | G | 3⭐️

Schools considering: Saint Mary’s, UCSB, UNLV, Utah State, West Virginia and Xavier

Shaw is a native of Las Vegas and currently attends Mojave High School while playing circuit ball for Vegas Elite. Shaw picked up an offer from West Virginia on July 16. Shaw has taken visits UNLV and Utah Tech during his recruitment so far.

Omari Witherspoon | G | 3⭐️

Schools considering: Butler, Clemson, George Mason, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Pitt, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Xavier

“Thanks to each program who has spent time on building relationships with me and my family. All the calls, texts, pulling up to my games and visits are all appreciated. With that said, I will be dropping my list today,” Witherspoon wrote on X (Twitter).

Witherspoon received an offer from WVU’s staff in June.
