WVU Basketball Offers Pair of High School Guards

The offers continue to fly out from WVU basketball as the coaching staff offered a pair of high school guards this week. 2025 four-star Kelvin Odih and 2027’s Jacob Canton both picked up offers from West Virginia.

Odih, 6-foot-4, was offered on Wednesday while Canton, 6-foot-3, was offered Thursday.

Odih is a rising senior at South Kent School in Connecticut, Odih has received offers from Albany, Colorado, Creighton, Florida State, George Mason, Iowa, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Rhode Island, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, SMU, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Xavier and others. Odih completed a visit to Marquette last December and has scheduled visits to Colorado, Creighton and Rutgers, according to 247 Sports.

West Virginia is the second school to offer Canton, with Radford being the first. Canton plays at Rutgers Prep School in New Jersey.

In other news, WVU is in the running for 2025 three-star guard Jaylon Dean-Vines, who announced his top five schools on Wednesday. West Virginia, along with Louisville, Texas A&M, UCF and Vanderbilt are in the hunt to land Dean-Vines. WVU associate HC Chester Frazier is the primary recruiter for the rising senior, extending an offer to him back in April.
