On Tuesday morning, WVU assistant basketball coach Erik Martin took to Twitter with his thoughts on the six-game losing streak that the Mountaineers are on. West Virginia fell to No. 8 Baylor, 81-77, on Monday night.

Martin talked about how to face adversity head-on and to move past this down point in West Virginia’s season.

“Sometimes in life YOU DIG YOURSELF INTO A HOLE. Happens to all of us at some point, what you do about being in that hole defines who you are moving forward. Don’t ever panic. Stay positive buckle down and keep grinding.” ~Erik Martin

Martin’s comments come after WVU head coach Bob Huggins addressed the long losing streak.

“We ain’t dead, yet,” Huggins said after Monday night’s game. “I think Taz [Sherman’s] situation will determine a lot.”
