The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia Football and Basketball.

UPDATE (9:18 A.M.) – One receiver wasn’t enough. Head coach Neal Brown also welcomed Hutchinson Community College’s Cortez Braham. The junior signed a National Letter of Intent and will use his remaining pair of eligibility years with the Mountaineers. He was a three-star prospect when he got to Hutchinson, and proceeded to capture fifth place in school history in career receptions and receiving yards. He finished his three seasons of JUCO experience with 32 catches for 723 yards and 10 touchdowns; that ranked him No. 10 in the country in scores and No. 32 in receptions.

UPDATE (9:04 A.M.) – Martinsburg, W.Va. native Hudson Clement committed to play wide receiver and strong safety for the Mountaineers. He’s anticipated to play this fall. While at Martinsburg High, Clement was no stranger to leading the Mountain State. By the time he graduated, he had amassed WV Gatorade, WV MetroNews, and MaxPreps Player of the Year honors, as well as being named an All-State wide receiver and Randy Moss Award winner. Of note, in the AAA Championship Game in 2021, Clement scored eight touchdowns by himself to hoist the Bulldogs to a 62-21 win over Huntington.
