Sims (6-foot-3 and 215 pounds) attends Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas.
He’s ranked as the No. 1 third baseman in Kansas by Perfect Game and the No. 3 overall prospect in the state. Sims is even ranked as the No. 232 player nationally in the 2025 class.
Sims initially signed with Vanderbilt in November of 2024. His flip to WVU is a significant development that truly shows the success Steve Sabins and his staff are enjoying this offseason.
