WVU Basketball in Small Group of Big Brands Recruiting WKU Transfer Guard

Most of the transfer players WVU basketball has reached out have also heard from a lot of others schools. However, when it comes to Western Kentucky transfer guard Don McHenry, West Virginia is among a small group of big brands showing the most interest.
Per the HOF Sports Group, WVU is one of top five programs involved in McHenry’s recruitment. Arizona State, DePaul, Big 12 foe Oklahoma State and USC are the others in the mix.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 168 pounds, McHenry led his team in scoring during the 2024-25 season. He averted 17 points per game while shooting 39.5% to go along with 3.3 assists and 1.7 rebounds.
McHenry is now looking to advance his game to a higher level before wrapping up his college career. After two years at junior colleges, the Milwaukee, Wisc. native transferred to WKU in the summer of 2023. Despite his late transfer that year, he was made immediately eligible.
