WVU Basketball Looking at Transfer Guard with Rebounding Ability

WVU basketball is one of at least 15 programs to be looking at Tulsa transfer guard Isaiah Barnes. According to the Portal Report, West Virginia has already reached out to Barnes.
Barnes (6-foot-7, 200 pounds) averaged 9.3 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Golden Hurricanes during the 2024-25 season. Appalachian State, Arizona State, Bradley, Charlotte, Cal State Northridge, Hawaii, High Point, North Texas, Portland, Temple, Tulane, Valparaiso, VCU are just some of the other schools to show interest in Barnes so far.

While Barnes’ production doesn’t jump off the page, he can impact a game more than just scoring and has more size than other guards WVU has been calling. He also does have Power Four experience, spending two seasons at Michigan as a top high school recruit.
