Batemon released his list to Joe Tipton of On3 Sports on Tuesday, announcing that he will commit next Monday, July 1.

Batemon (6-foot-3) is entering his senior season at Milwaukee Academy of Science in Wisconsin. Batemon received an offer from West Virginia on April 20 and has other offers from Bradley, Cal Poly, Clemson, DePaul, Grambling State, Illinois, Marquette, Milwaukee, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and others.

Batemon has visited Iowa State and Marquette out of his top four schools.

In other WVU recruiting news: 2025 three-star forward Chase Thompson completed an official visit with West Virginia. WVU assistant Kory Barnett extended an offer to Thompson after watching him play during a weekend in Texas. Thompson is also looking to schedule an official visit with Iowa soon, he tells WV Sports Now.

The Mountaineers under new head coach Darian DeVries do not have any commitments for the class of 2025 but do have three 2024 recruits already on campus in just a short amount of time.
