WVU Basketball Offers Former Ole Miss F Carlos Curry

West Virginia basketball coach Bob Huggins has extended an offer to junior college forward Carlos Curry.
Curry, a 6-foot-11 power forward, began his collegiate basketball career at Ole Miss before announcing he departure from the school in March. Curry landed at Northwest Mississippi Community College earlier this month and it did not take long for Division I schools — including West Virginia — to take interest.
WVU was one of several scholarship offers Curry announced Monday on Twitter. As of 2 p.m., the Georgia native also announced offers from Akron, East Tennessee State, Old Dominion and Southern Utah.

Curry spent two seasons at Ole Miss after arriving in Oxford as a 247 Sports three-star recruit. He sat out as a redshirt during the 2018-19 season before appearing in 17 games last season in limited role, while averaging less than one point and one rebound per game.
Curry will spend the 2020-21 season at Northwest Mississippi and then have two seasons of NCAA eligibility remaining.
