Already planning for the future of WVU basketball, West Virginia offered high school basketball star Kareem Smith-Bey.

The 6-foot-4 and 170-pound shooting guard revealed his WVU offer on Tuesday.

WVU becomes Smith-Bey’s most recent offer after also drawing interest from Maryland on Dec. 10.

A 2028 product of the Washington, D.C. area, Smith-Bey attends St. John’s College High School as a four-star prospect. 247 Sports ranks Smith-Bey as the No. 1 player in D.C. and the No. 11 shooting guard in the country for his class.
