The WVU basketball team will wear uniforms reminiscent of its style from the early 2000’s against Colorado on Saturday, the team announced in a post to X.

Former Mountaineer great Kevin Pittsnogle, who wore the uniform the program is replicating from 2002-2006, gave his stamp of approval despite the reminder of how long ago his playing days were.

“When WV unveiled New Jerseys and it looks like the jerseys from when you played and it makes you feel really old. My son Kwynsie James Pittsnogle sent me it and said, ‘Looks like your jerseys from back in day,'” Pittsnogle said in a post to Facebook. “I said ours were way baggier and better. Memories of a lifetime and now I’m the old man I made fun of when I was his age,โ€ he said on a Facebook post.
