WVU C Jesse Edwards has signed a two-way deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he confirmed following the NBA Draft. Edwards was not selected during the NBA’s two-day draft but quickly fell off the undrafted free agent board.

Edwards completed pre-draft workouts with the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors, he told WV Sports Nowย a few weeks ago.

Edwards worked his wayย into an NBA draft combine invitation, where he spent a week in Chicago with other prospects.

โ€œIt feels amazing. Like everybody in this room, you try to keep the logo on your chest for as long as you can. Itโ€™s been a grind, crazy path this summer. Canโ€™t wait to keep it going, hopefully,โ€ย Edwards told media at the time.

The former Mountaineer and Syracuse Orange played in the Reeseโ€™s Division-I All-Star Game during the Final Four weekend in Phoenix, Az. The 6-foot-11 big man finished with eight points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 16 minutes. Edwards also recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks during the final game of the G League Elite Camp session.
