WVU Football DB commit West Virginia native Zah Jackson

A top athlete in the state of West Virginia looks to be the next successful in-state pickup for the Mountaineers. Zah Jackson looks to add speed and depth in the WVU defensive backs room, logging in a 4.5 40-yard dash.

Zah Jackson comes from Huntington, West Virginia playing at perennial power Huntington High School.  Jackson is a consensus three-star recruit across the board, with 247 Sports grading him out as an 87 and the number one overall recruit in the state, right in front of fellow WVU signee Tyshawn Dues. On3 Sports has Jackson as the number two overall recruit, right behind Tyshawn Dues.

Jackson announced his Top 4 as WVU, Liberty, Mississippi State, and North Carolina State. Jackson also held offers from Marshall, Appalachian State, and Toledo, amongst others.

North Carolina State offered Jackson in October of last year, and he took two unofficial visits to Raleigh, North Carolina. West Virginia entered his recruiting process in July 2023 with an offer.  The Mountaineers gained a commitment from Jackson in April of this year, and had him on for an official visit in June.
