West Virginia leaps into the Top 10

Published

on

The weekly AP Top 25 released just moments ago and the Mountaineers check in at No.9. With Stanford and Penn State losing yesterday, it allowed West Virginia to start making its way closer to the top of the polls.

The Mountaineers are off to a hot start sitting at 4-0 (2-0) with league wins over Kansas State and Texas Tech. Yesterday’s game became a lot more interesting than it should have been, but nonetheless, they came out with a win. Never take a road win in the league for granted, especially vs a ranked team. Think of it this way, West Virginia played one strong quarter and 3 sub par quarters and still beat a ranked opponent and covered the spread.

Just imagine what they can do when they fix these issues and put together four solid quarters.

Next game: 10/6 vs Kansas- NOON
