WVU Football in Top 7 List For 2025 4-Star OT
WVU football is in the running for another 2025 recruit. Offensive tackle Chastan Brown released his top seven schools on Monday, including the Mountaineers.
Brown is a 6-foot-9, 260-pound prospect from Northside High School in Georgia.
The other six programs include Georgia State, Houston, Louisville, NC State, Pitt and UCF. Brown will announce his commitment on July 11.

Prior to cutting his list down, Brown also picked up offers from Boston College, Bowling Green, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Liberty, Memphis, Troy, Tulane, UAB, USF, Wake Forest and others.
Brown was offered by WVU’s Jordan Lesley on Feb. 1. The highly recruited tackle recently took a visit to Louisville.
West Virginia picked up its 18th commitment for the 2025 class on Monday with three-star linebacker Michael Hastie. Hastie is a 6-foot-3 recruit from Douglas County High School in Georgia.
Rivals, On3 Sports and 247 Sports each rank Hastie among the top 120 players for his class in Georgia. Hastie recorded 122 total tackles, two tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and two interceptions in 2023.
West Virginia’s class is ranked in the top-20 currently for the 2025 class, according to 247 Sports.
