In addition to adding to the 2025 class, the WVU football staff is also ending the summer by sending offers to 2026 recruits. And recently, West Virginia extended an offer to a four-star wide receiver from Virginia.

Davion Brown announced his offer from the Mountaineers on Friday, tagging WVU wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall in his post on X (formerly Twitter).

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Brown plays for Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Va. ESPN considers Brown the top player in Virginia for his class. Beyond ESPN, he’s ranked inside the top 10 by most major recruiting outlets. He’s also rated among the best wide receivers and top 100 overall players nationally.

Even with West Virginia’s recent recruiting success with wide receivers, especially from prospects in the southern states, WVU will have plenty of completion to eventually win Brown’s commitment.

He holds offers from Auburn, Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Pitt, Penn State, Rutgers, SMU, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, Virginia and Virginia Tech as far as just major conference programs. Other schools like East Carolina, Marshall, Old Dominion and Western Michigan sent him offers as well.

On Saturday night, WVU gained another commitment for the 2025 class in defensive lineman Brandon Caesar.

Caesar (6-foot-4, 254 pounds) attends Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also competes on the wrestling team. Even though Caesar hasn’t been active on social media recently, WV Sports Now can confirm he did visit the West Virginia program in June.

A consensus three-star prospect, Caesar picked the Mountaineers chose over offers from big time brands like Alabama, Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Wisconsin and others.
