Another three-star wide receiver has the WVU football program as one of his top schools.

Class of 2024 recruit Zy’marion Lang tweeted his top seven Friday night, including West Virginia on a list with two other Big 12 teams and one of its rivals. This group is Kansas, Kansas State, North Carolina State, Pitt, Texas A&M and USF.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds, Lang attends Palmetto High School in Palmetto, Florida. Lang, who received an offer in February, showing mutual interest in the Mountaineers continues to demonstrate some success in WVU’s plan to build up their Florida recruiting pipeline, especially in terms of wide receiver talent.

Lang is considered a top 80 prospect in the state of Florida by 247 Sports and the number 85 wide receiver in the country. Much like it was with the 2023 class, wide receiver is once again a priority for the West Virginia program.

Head coach Neal Brown and his staff had to replace several key receivers for the upcoming season, and did so with transfers, but the constant turnover and eligibility status of those currently on the roster at the the position, makes it a point of emphasis for next year too. The addition of Bilal Marshall as WVU’s new wide receivers coach has helped to fuel an ability to recruit Florida.
