WVU Football Recruiting 2027 LB Who Already Released His Top 8

For another recruit for the WVU football defense, West Virginia sent an offer to a linebacker out of North Carolina.

Listed at 5-foot-11 and 205 pounds and originally from Miami, Fla., Michael Griffin Jr. revealed his West Virginia offer on March 25.

WVU will now be tasked with trying to convince Griffin, who recently released his top eight, to open up his options. As of March 6, Griffin placed Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Michigan, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest as the schools above all the rest.

He also has offers from Appalachian State, JMU, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Miami (OH), Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, SMU, Syracuse and Troy.

Griffin is considered a three-star and ranked as the No. 31 prospect in North Carolina and a top 80 linebacker nationally.
