WVU Football Reveals the Signings of New DL, LB
In addition to learning about multiple new transfer commits, the WVU football program was able to go one step further and announce the signing of new Mountaineers late Wednesday night as well.
Division II defensive lineman Will LeBlanc will now jump to the Power Four level with West Virginia. He was the very first transfer player to announce his commitment.

LeBlanc comes to WVU from UT-Permian Basin. He started in 2025 after taking a redshirt year in 2024.
He made 32 tackles, five tackles for a loss, had four quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks and recorded one fumble recovery last season.
LeBlanc has three years of eligibility.
Also signing on the dotted line, sophomore Isaiah Patterson comes to West Virginia from UNLV. He revealed his commitment on Jan. 4.

WVU will be Pattersonโs third school in as many years after redshirting his freshman season at UCLA and playing in eight games at UNLV last year. He finished the 2025 season with 46 total tackles, 20 solo and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Patterson has three years of eligibility remaining.
