WVU RB Commit Justin Williams Named MVP of Cross-Town Rivalry Game

East Paulding High School had only won one game entering a key cross-town matchup against Paulding County High School — also known as the Battle of Paulding.

It’s been a difficult year for the Raiders, losing a couple of one score games this season, but senior running back Justin Williams has been a workhorse for East Paulding all season. Against Paulding County, Williams scored all four touchdowns, rumbling for 211 yards on 26 carries, in a 25-21 win.

And of course, he was named 22nd annual Battle for Paulding MVP after the game.

While unable to provide stats for all seven games Williams has played in this season, in five confirmed games, he’s rushed for 1,154 yards and 10 touchdowns, racked up at least 84 receiving yards and accumulated at least 1,418 all-purpose yards for the Raiders.

Williams has been among the leading rushers in Georgia high school football this season, showcasing his blend of power and speed in a 6-foot-0, 200-pound frame. His performance against Paulding County was just another showing of his statistical dominance.

Williams and East Paulding have three games left this season in Georgia Class 6-A football, and with more big games on the ground, the Raiders should compete for more wins.
