WVU Safety Enters Transfer Portal After Injury Plagued Season
The new week starts off with another WVU player announcing his intention to transfer. And like most of the players West Virginia has lost to this point, it’s a player who was never truly able to make an impact on the Mountaineers.
Safety Keyshawn Cobb posted a thank you message to the WVU football program and fans on Monday morning to say he’s planning on transferring. Cobb leaves Morgantown a year after transferring to West Virginia from Buffalo.

Unfortunately for Cobb, his 2023 season was cut short early after the Duquesne game on and he missed the rest of the year following surgery. Cobb recorded a couple tackles against the Dukes. He totaled 67 tackles and picked off a pass in 2022 with Buffalo.
Cobb started his college career at Northeast Community College.
