WVU Women’s Basketball Unveils 2026-27 Big 12 Schedule
The WVU women’s basketball program, in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, released the 2026-27 league schedule on Monday. The schedule features nine home contests inside the WVU Coliseum and nine road games across the league.
The Mountaineers are set to play a home-and-away series with Cincinnati, TCU and Texas Tech. BYU, Utah, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas and Kansas State will come to Morgantown for the season’s only meeting while WVU hits the road to face Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Houston and UCF.
WVU opens the conference slate on Sunday, Dec. 20, with a trip to Orlando, Florida, to take on UCF. The Mountaineers then return to Morgantown for their Big 12 home opener against Kansas on Wednesday, Dec. 30, inside the WVU Coliseum.
The new year begins with a pair of road contests as West Virginia travels to Oklahoma State on Sunday, Jan. 3, before making the trip to Houston on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
WVU returns home for two straight games, beginning with a Sunday, Jan. 10, matchup against TCU inside the WVU Coliseum. The Mountaineers then welcome Kansas State to Morgantown on Wednesday, Jan. 13, before heading to Waco, Texas, for a meeting with Baylor on Sunday, Jan. 17.
West Virginia returns home on Wednesday, Jan. 20, to host Colorado before welcoming Iowa State to the Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 23. The Mountaineers then travel to Lubbock, Texas, for a matchup with Texas Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
WVU closes the month of January at home against Cincinnati on Saturday, Jan. 30, before opening February with back-to-back road contests in the Grand Canyon State. West Virginia first takes on Arizona State on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in Tempe before facing Arizona on Saturday, Feb. 6, in Tucson.
The Mountaineers return to Morgantown on Tuesday, Feb. 9, for a matchup with Utah. WVU then heads to Fort Worth, Texas, for its second meeting of the season with TCU on Monday, Feb. 15.
West Virginia is back inside the Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 20, when it hosts Texas Tech before welcoming BYU to Morgantown on Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the team’s final regular-season home contest.
West Virginia is set to conclude its 2026-27 regular season on Saturday, Feb. 27, against Cincinnati inside Fifth Third Arena.
The Mountaineers open postseason play from March 3-7/8, for the 2027 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament inside T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
