WVU women's soccer team celebrates win

Even when it’s in an exhibition, beating Pitt always counts for something for Mountaineers.

On this night, it was the WVU women’s soccer team picking up a 3-1 win over the Panthers in Morgantown. West Virginia scored two of their 3 goals in the second half.

After the win, the official women’s soccer account put the pressure on both the men’s team and football team to take care of business in their season opening Backyard Brawls.

The men’s soccer team takes on Pitt Friday night in Pittsburgh while the battle on the gridiron gives the football rivalry a rebirth at Acrisure Stadium on September 1.
