WVU WR Cyrus Traugh Logs First TD Catch as Mountaineer

To crack open the scoring, West Virginia native Cyrus Traugh put a touchdown on the board for the Mountaineers. Traugh caught a 33-yarder in the back of the end zone for the first score of his WVU career.

Traugh’s touchdown catch from quarterback Mike Hawkins gave WVU a first quarter lead. He transferred to West Virginia afters starting his college career at Youngstown State ahead of the 2025 season and saw action in two games, failing to log any statistics. Traugh entered Week 5 with just one reception for 11 yards.

He caught 36 passes for 409 yards with five scores in 2024 with Youngstown State.

Traugh will forever be appreciated in the state for his success in high school at Parkersburg South โ€“ he earned the Randy Moss Award as the top high school receiver in the Mountain State as a senior.
