MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Hudson Clement didn’t just have a big game for WVU in the win over Duquesne, he had a life changing night.

West Virginia head coach Neal Brown didn’t just praise his freshman wide receiver for his performance, but announced that he’s now been awarded a full scholarship. Clement made five receptions for 177 yards and caught three touchdowns in the win.

The team went crazy to celebrate for Clement once Brown informed them of the news in the locker room after the game.

“The scholarship… When I came here, I knew I’d have to grind for,” said Clement when asked which meant more to him – the scholarship or scoring three touchdowns. He also said his game Saturday night felt similar to his memorable championship game from high school.

Thanks in large part to Clement, the Mountaineers eventually rolled to a 56-17 win over the Dukes despite a slow start to the game.

Below includes highlights from Clement’s three-touchdown night.
