WVU’s Big Man Sagaba Konate not Invited to NBA Combine
Sagaba Konate, the 6’ 8”, 250 lb Junior from Bamako, Mali, did not receive an NBA Combine Invite. Konate only appeared in eight games for the Mountaineers this season, averaging 13.6 points, 8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and shooting 43.5% from the floor.
The NBA Combine is an event that takes place every year in May before the NBA Draft in June. At the Combine, players will be measured, medically tested, and will perform drills in front of NBA scouts and coaches. In this years NBA Combine, sixty-six college basketball players were invited.
The combine is set to take place in Chicago, Illinois, beginning Wednesday, May 15th and ending Sunday, May 19th.
