Hamilton (6’4″, 345 pounds) plays at Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals. Both outlets also rate Hamilton as one of the top-30 recruits from the state of Ohio.
Hamilton was in attendance for WVU’s spring game in April and had an official visit to campus over the weekend. He chose WVU over offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, Kent State, Marshall, Purdue and Toledo.
Hamilton is already the third lineman committed in WVU’s 2022 class, joining Sullivan Weidman and Charlie Katarincic. Hamilton is WVU’s sixth overall 2022 commit, joining Weidman, Katarincic, receiver Jarel Williams, tight end Corbin Page and safety Tyrin Woodbey.
