Justyn Lyles flips from WVU to Marshall

Still planning to move from Ohio to West Virginia, 2026 offensive line prospect Justyn Lyles has flipped his commitment from WVU to Marshall.

On Tuesday night, Lyles announced on Instagram that instead of starting his college career in Morgantown, he will join Marshall in Huntington.

While Lyles decision may excite Marshall fans, it’s coning as a result of West Virginia’s recent recruiting success and the addition of another top offensive lineman on the horizon.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds, Lyles initially committed to WVU in June.

Lyles attends Withrow High School in Cincinnati as a 2026 recruit.

Considered a three-star recruit, Lyles was also considering Miami (OH) and Tulsa in his final group before picking WVU. Heโ€™s expected to be an offensive tackle in college.

Lyles also held offers from schools like Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Maryland, Ohio, Toledo, UMass, Western Michigan, among others.
