WVU Football Extends Offer to 4-Star 2024 OT JacQawn McRoy
An offensive line is often the foundation of any good football team, and that’s something West Virginia knows as well as anyone. To that note, the program is now making sure it can retool that line with the loss of some veterans pending.
WVU takes a big step in that direction by extending an official offer to offensive tackle Jac’Qawn McRoy. A class of 2024 player, McRoy currently attends Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, Alabama. He’s listed as a 4-star recruit, according to outlets like 247 Sports.

McRoy is labeled among the top 225 players nationally and top 15 players in the state of Alabama. He places himself at 6’8 and 345 pounds while 247 has him at weighing 350 pounds.
In addition to the Mountaineers, McRoy has also received offers from Alabama State, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Auburn and Georgia Tech.
Since Zach Frazier and Doug Nester won’t be around forever and WVU has found a solid freshman running back in CJ Donaldson, placing an emphasis on the future of the line and making sure it can be a strength for years to come is a necessary task for Neal Brown and his staff.
