The Pittsburgh Steelers need a starting center, and the obvious pick for them would be Zach Frazier, who is likely to go after Jackson Powers-Johnson and Graham Barton. But where would Frazier fall? In an appearance on 93.7 the Fan, Pro Football Focus’ Steve Palazzolo does not believe he will fall past 24th overall where the Cowboys pick, meaning Pittsburgh would have to select him at 20th overall.

Though, there are others who echo why that might be the case. During a recent appearance on The Krueg Show with Larry Krueger, NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger disclosed information that speaks volumes about Frazier as a prospect.

“I texted a personnel director the first day I watched him, and I just said, can Zach Frazier start at center for you? And he goes, right now.” Baldinger said. “Yeah, he’s our starting center… literally texting me back in real-time. He could be our starting center.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers ‘absolutely love’ Frazier, a source told The Athletic. In a new piece done by Mike DeFabo, he talked to Frazier and sources about Frazier’s development and where the Steelers are on him, and it seems that they are extremely high on his prospects.

Steelers to Target Zach Frazier in Draft, ‘Absolutely Love’ WVU Product

“The Athletic’s draft analyst Dane Brugler has already mocked Frazier to the Steelers, doing so in the second round in his latest projection. And in Mobile, one league source said the Steelers “absolutely love” the center,” DeFabo wrote.

The Steelers have an incredible history at the center position with past legends Mike Webster, Dermontti Dawson and Maurkice Pouncey. Webster and Dawson are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Pouncey very well could be in Canton someday.

Pittsburgh is hoping they can find their next blue chip center in this year’s draft. West Virginia longtime play-by-play voice Tony Caridi believes Frazier would fit the bill. He thinks he was born to be a Steeler.

“I would take 12 Zach Frazier’s on my team. I think he’d be a perfect fit for the Steelers,” Caridi said on 93.7 The Fan when asked his thoughts on the possibility Frazier could be drafted by the nearest NFL franchise to Morgantown.

i do not see zach falling to the second round,, he is the protype center that pittsburgh loves, and if pittsburgh doesn’t select him in the first round , someone else will. Frazer is the exact fit for the steelers, very smart, great knock down blocker, size, arm length, body,, again, if the steelers decide to go a different direction in the first round, they just won’t get him.
