Pat McAfee at Big Night Aht in Pittsburgh

There’s no denying the “Big Night Aht” in Pittsburgh was a massive success for Pat McAfee. Aside from the engagement numbers it produced all across social media, McAfee was joined by big stars who helped make sure everyone in attendance enjoyed every minute of the show.

As cool as it was to see Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Jelly Roll take the stage in addition to Sidney Crosby, Ben Roethlisberger and Paul Skenes, McAfee’s event was also a success on another level, one that will have an even greater lasting impact.

McAfee gave away or donated approximately $3 million throughout the show. Some of that money will go towards charities, including the Special Olympics and Pittsburgh’s Foundation of HOPE.

But of course, in typical McAfee fashion, he made sure to show some love to West Virginia in the midst of all of the fun.

He had to make sure the crowd kicked off his live show in Pittsburgh the right way.

First, a large portion of the crowd could be heard adding in the WVU approved lyrics as “Sweet Caroline” played inside PPG Paints Arena.

And then as McAfee started discussing his journey, the crowd started a sing along to the song synonymous with his beloved West Virginia Mountaineers – “Take Me Home, Country Roads” as the former WVU star turned media mogul soaked in the moment.
