Breaking: WVU Freshman LB Josiah Trotter to Miss 2023 Season with Leg Injury

MORGANTOWN, W.Va – WVU football head coach delivered some bad news when he stopped by interviews on Thursday concerning freshman linebacker Josiah Trotter.
According to Brown, Trotter suffered an injury during a recent practice that will require surgery. This means Trotter will be out for the entire 2023 season, ending his chances of a freshman year on the field before it even got started.

Brown wouldn’t go into detail on what caused the injury, but did offer that it’s a leg injury. He also wouldn’t explain if Trotter suffered the injury after a tackle.
A four-star recruit out of St. Joe’s Prep in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Trotter was viewed as one of the premier pieces of WVU’s 2023 recruiting class. Listed 6-foot-2, 230-pounds, Trotter officially signed with the Mountaineers back in December.
