Brown adds JUCO Guard
West Virginia head coach Neal Brown has announced the signing of junior college offensive guard John Hughes. A 6-4 305-pound sophomore from Navarro College also received offers from Houston, and most recently Florida State.
John’s big frame holds the middle of the pocket in pass protection, plus has the agility to pull down the line in the running game and the speed to get down field.
The offensive line was a point of emphasis going into the off-season for Brown stating it was an area of need heading into next season. Hughes will have three years of eligibility that begins in the 2019 season.
