College Gameday Makes Picks for WVU Football Against No. 25 Virginia

The College Gameday crew with the addition of Morgan Freeman made their respective picks for the WVU football matchup against No. 25 Virginia.

WVU Football alum Pat McAfee was the only panelist to select WVU in the matchup. Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit and Freeman all picked Virginia.

“We run the ball… Rich Rodriguez is gonna go in there in a very hostile environment against Beau (Pribula) and I think we’re gonna pound the rock,” McAfee said. “Now, could definitely lose this one but I like West Virginia to win this one and set up a whole new Big 12 scenario.”

Herbstreit gave an extended answer on why he thinks Virginia will win, specifically mentioning senior quarterback Beau Pribula.

“I really think he’s gonna have a chance to have a big game today, and as much as Pat’s pulling for that underdog, I think Virginia at home gets it done,” Herbstreit said.

West Virginia is slated to battle Virginia at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday at 7:30 pm ET.
